This is an update of my post the other day seeking input on starting to build out the man cave. I was originally going to go with the all out Buffalo Basement Man cave dominated by the bar. But running through the middle left to right is the ducting, so head room drops to about 6.5'.

2023年2月28日 · Looking to create a man cave in my garage and mounting 3-4 TV's for sports. Wondering what would be the easiest way to control all the TV's, i.e. should I have all the same brand TV's, if there's a way for me to control multiple TV's from my phone, etc. I have a surround sound system so audio management will be handled via my receiver.

2022年2月21日 · My wife loves my "man cave". She is a very minimalistic person & I love ALL my collections. She's just happy I have somewhere for my stuff that's out of the way & she can decorate the rest of the house. But, I do try to refer to the space as the "bonus room" instead of the "man cave", so there's no resentment or jealousy later.

2020年12月22日 · UPDATE! I got it by accident doing another room. With 2 screens (HD monitor, panoramic monitor), the cyberpunk sofa (it's leather), some gaming peripherals, and the arcade machine, the room turned to a man cave. Notably, I have no coffee table in there. The couch is what changed it from a generic room to a man cave.

A ‘man cave’ is just a stupid term for a room in the house that a guy has his games or hobbies in or where he likes to watch tv or jerk off or whatever. It’s not a term meaning a totally separate house that he lives in.

Adding in the corny "Man Cave" sign at the entrance and it kind of has the feeling that comic book guy was given an unlimited budget and told to create his perfect basement. But OP, there's a lot of good stuff in here, it's the details that need a bit of work.

2014年3月19日 · Currently working on building the mancave (currently doing the electricity and finishing the sheetrock job), so i'm planning my cave out, so far on the list: Ikea desk + 2x4 expedit (or the replacement, dont remember the name) case, if possible my mITX rig will live in one of the spaces on the expedit, but not sure it it'll fit nicely, it needs ...

2022年12月19日 · Depends on ur budget. I painted my ceiling flat black, painted floor gray and stapled black plastic over the walls when I didn’t have the budget for it. Slow steps over time and it’s been upgraded. Forever the cave is dubbed bagwalls even tho those are long gone Tv wise it’s gotta be a projector with quality bass and good surround.

2015年2月27日 · yeah it is, in the way that viewing a painting by a master allows you too see the subtle complexities and appreciate the context and relevance in the full appreciation of the period and its genre, instead of Just buying some wanky poster of "dudez rule lol" which about the level you seem to be at.

The point of calling it a man cave is its for men emasculated by their wives into being forbidden from "overly blue collar" hobbies so they're forbidden from having a room called a workshop or garage or lab or homelab, so its a "man cave". Kind of tedious.
