The Tax Collector Finance Management Analyst is also responsible for contract compliance, internal and external audit compliance and must exercise independent judgement in applying generally accepted governmental accounting principles, best business practices, laws, regulations, contracts, and policies and procedures.

Acts in behalf of the Tax Collector as a liaison to other governmental units; Reviews and recommends changes to statutes, ordinances, rules, and regulations; Leads and directs the work of staff, and supervises subordinate exempt and classified personnel; Develops, plans, and implements various program functions of the Tax Collector;

An employee in this classification provides assistance to the Tax Collector by giving personal attention to administrative details and to special projects as directed by the Tax Collector. The wide scope of those activities creates much demand for independent judgment and a high degree of responsibility is delegated to the incumbent.
