In this Quranic verse, we learn that Allah has commanded us to put salawat on him in a manner of saying salam to anyone else. This being said, you can choose to say a short durood and it will be good. However, the more you recite, the better it is for you.

Dear Mufti sahib please tell me the shortest and authentic Dhrood Sharif to read daily. The most excellent Durood is Durood e Ibrahimi. It may be recited or any other Durood which is convenient may be adhered to. If the following Durood could be recited it would be better since many virtues are recorded in Ahadees e Mubaraka about it.
