Chuuk Lagoon, previously Truk Atoll, is an atoll in the central Pacific Ocean. It lies about 1,800 kilometres (970 nautical miles) northeast of New Guinea and is part of Chuuk State within the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM).

Awesome diving, dive 4 wrecks a day. Easiest diving you will find. Good water temp 82. Good visibility. Many war machines to see including tanks, a sub planes. A WW2 buffs Dreamland. Looks can be deceiving, but once you try the food, the roads will just be another bump on the rod. Fresh seafood and nice smiling people.

The U.S. Navy's carrier strike on February 17 and 18, 1944, coordinated with an assault on Enewetak Atoll in the Marshall Islands, seriously impaired Truk's air force, destroyed virtually all Japanese shipping in the lagoon, and heavily damaged land installations.
